It's a tricky mix of math, logic, and spatial reasoning that will keep your brain sharp and busy.

How to Play Pips NYT

Each puzzle has a highly visible grid divided into regions with some rules such as "all the numbers must be equal," "numbers must sum to X," or "sum must be smaller than X."

  • Use the provided set of dominoes, which consists of two numbers (0-6 inclusive, with blanks).
Arrange them horizontally or vertically to occupy two squares.
  • Make the match conditions fulfilled in such a way that every domino fitting is by the rules of the area it is covering.
  • Continue fitting dominoes until the entire grid is filled properly.
